What age group are the camps open to?
We accept players from 6 years to 13 years inclusive. We also run 14+ coaching days and adult programmes.
Who are the camps aimed at?
Our camps are aimed at players of all ability levels; some simply enjoy the sports we offer and want to have fun improving their skills level, while others may already be county players who want to progress further by learning from some of the best coaches in the game.
How do you group the participants?
We group the players according to the information provided on the booking form, i.e, age and playing experience. However, coaches will make adjustments if necessary after the first sessions.
Our Programme:
Our coaches concentrate on their areas of speciality. During each session a different aspect of the game, tailored to the standard of the group, is demonstrated and explained. This is followed by supervised structured practice/drills leading to fun games and activities.
Can my child be in a group with a friend?
We have a section on the booking form to name a friend and we shall do our utmost to accommodate this where possible.
What times do the camps start and finish?
Day camps start at 10.00am and finish at 3.00pm.
Sleepovers start at 10am and finish 4pm.
Netball 7s will vary according to age group each term.
Where do I Drop off/Pick up?
After you have booked, we shall send you a registration letter detailing precise information about drop offs and pick ups because these arrangements vary according to the course and venue. All children are carefully checked in at the start of the day and must be checked out before they can leave. Please accept our apologies if this causes you a slight delay, but we take our responsibilities very seriously.
What should my child wear?
Each child should wear appropriate comfortable clothing for netball and the weather conditions i.e. skort/shorts, t-shirt, tracksuit, waterproof and a good pair of trainers. Please also pack a spare set of clothes so that children have something to change into if they get wet. Please always provide a sun hat and apply sun cream if the weather is warm, and a warm sweatshirt/hoodie in the event of cold weather. No jewellery can be worn (including watches) while training.
Does my child need a packed lunch?
Day camps: Yes. As there are no catering facilities on site, we ask children to bring a packed lunch with them. Please also remember to provide plenty of water – at least 1 litre.
What happens during breaks?
Day camps: Children are supervised throughout their time at the camps, including during the breaks.
What happens if it rains?
We do ask for your patience for inevitable disruptions in the event of poor weather.. Our weekly skills sessions and Netball 7s events take place on outdoor courts – please ensure, therefore that players are dressed in warm layers and waterproofs if appropriate, as we shall continue to play as long as it is safe to do so.
We have indoor provisions for the sleepovers.
